Furthermore I doubt many Union troops gave a ■■■■ about slaves. They fought because they got drafted. Lincoln’s stated purpose of fighting the war was to preserve the Union. Finally Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation to keep France and England out of the war.

It was a tragedy for everyone involved.
It’s sad dems hate America these days and don’t appreciate the sacrifice of so many who died to free the slaves, or in fact any of our great history. From founding until now.
