One piece of advice from someone who got married around the same age as you (a little bit older actually). If you plan on having kids, don’t wait. I have found being an older father to be both physically and emotionally taxing.

I’m on my second marriage- 49 years now.
This wedding cost me $55. That includes the marriage license and the preacher.
I told both of my kids I was willing to spend 10x that amount on each of their weddings. They weren’t pleased but that’s what I did. I thought it was generous.
