I haven’t read the “bill”, obviously. From what I’ve read about the bill, I don’t have many objections to the categories.

No, it’s not Trump’s fault that the Democrats passed a bipartisan infrastructure bill. We all agree on that.

I know what you mean, but it also makes me sad how little we’ve devoted since midcentury.
Even the current backup with cargo ships is, in no small part, because our ports are too small now.

Why not a link to the actual legislation off the Senate website? You think the media is giving you everything that’s in there or the shiny objects that make people nod in agreement?

It’s also misleading. There’s no blanket “per mile fee” in the bill, as that poster suggests. There’s a pilot program that would study the effect and viability of a per-mile driving fee among a group of volunteers. Participants would be fully reimbursed for any charges they pay. Death Panels II: Electric Boogaloo.

Can you explain how that works? Is it free and paid by the tax payer? Is someone making a profit? If so, who? And why should tax payers build their business for them?
