East Palestine: Biden's amazing success in environmental equity

 ā€œThe Listā€ is the regulation.

That was a stupid strawman.

In any case anyone involved in the decision to light it on fire need to be held accountable. We set it on fire because we were afraid it would catch on fire and explode is a ridiculous excuse. Same goes for not evacuating downwind more then a measly mile.

I disagree. Fire cleanses.

Do you clean your house with fire?

Can anyone name one other time a hazardous spill was deliberately set on fire?

the point is they are very obviously hazardous, whether they are on the list or not.

Some things are more hazardous than others.

Controlled burns happen everyday. Controlled detonations too.

But if they are not on The Listā€¦

Thatā€™s nice, which other hazardous chemical spill was deliberately set on fire?

I donā€™t know, I havenā€™t looked. What others have there been under this same set of circumstances?

Fire doesnā€™t cleanse a chemical spill, it converts chemicals into other chemicals which may be even more deadly.

Sometimes. Most times it cleanses.

Going to go out on a limb and guess this isnā€™t the first train derailment involving dangerous chemicals, I canā€™t recall of ever hearing about one being set on fire.

Many, many times they are let burn.

Let and set are not synonyms.

Some things are more hazardous than others.

No, itā€™s a bit different. The end result is the same.

in the meantime, I looked at the document you posted- it is impenetrable.
However, https://response.epa.gov/sites/15933/files/Norfolk%20Southern%20East%20Palestine%20Train%20Derailment%20General%20Notice%20Letter%202.10.2023.pdf

This govt response says they WERE carrying hazardous materials.
