stone was attempting to coordinate leaks (and failing) through a guy (gulcifer) that had an “in” at wikileaks. that was his whole worth to stone. there is absolutely nothing to show stone knew anything more about him other than he had an “in” at wiki. perhaps he may have if the fbi had chosen to debrief the campaign instead of gin up a fake investigation built on fraudulent intel manufactured by clinton and laundered through a foriegn spy.

Guccifer 2.0 wasn’t the guy who had an “in” at wikileaks. The persona of Guccifer 2.0 was the “person” who stole the emails. It was a GRU operation and Stone was having private conversations with him.
It wasn’t just wikileaks that was publishing the emails but also DC Leaks… which was also a GRU operation.
Stone was talking to GRU to coordinate the release of stolen emails on a GRU run site.
