Don’t get me wrong, I think they should at some point release the name but the guy’s name is immaterial to the facts of the event in question. Unless that person has some sort of history.
To bad the Minority Leader shut down a bipartisan commission of non-Congress persons (equal number on each side) who would have investigated the riots of January 6th. I’m sure the rioter being killed trying to break through a law enforcement barricade into the Speakers Lobby with Congress and their staff only 10s of feet away would have been part of such an investigation.
I’m not sure of that at all. In fact I’m sure it wouldn’t. But yeah, too bad. I hope we still get our Day of Remembrance so we can enjoy a 3 day weekend for defending the 'Mocracy Temple.
I support 100% for a Day of Remembrance. Let us not forget when Trump** supporters rioted at the Capital in an attempt to prevent the Constitutionally mandated counting of the votes from the election by the Vice President and members of the House and Senate, and the threat they presented to our long tradition of the peaceful transfer of power from one administration to the next.
Trump** will be remembered for basically having reelection in the bag, then pissing it away because of COVID.
If not for his incompetence and not wanting to lead the charge on mask wearing because it might smudge his orange makeup, he’d be in the White House right now****.

**** OK the reality is it’s Sunday so he’d be golfing, but you know what I mean.
On a more serious note…It was all about not making himself look weak. In his eyes, masks =:weakness. And we all know Cons love those they perceive as “Manly tough guys”…even if in reality they are not.
