Do You Not Want to Own Property or Recieve an Inheritance Young People?

Most. Important. Election. Of. Our. Lifetime.

Are you posting in a guberment compooter in Canada?

If you are like the average social security and medicare recipient, you will use about 30% more than you contributed.

Good luck paying for health insurance on the private market as a 70 year old… The average person would lose all their property and inheritance in their final years to medical debt.

Ya totallyz, libs and people who argue for universal health care are lazy.

I have zero idea what the point of that was.

They need to quit being lazy and get a job. 6 year olds need to get out that shovel as well

We need personal responsibility that’s why it’s all the governments fault, not ours or big business

I despise coining the debt the government owes me as an entitlement. That’s a government IOU…period. As far as the medical side, I agree…it’s somewhat of an expensive mess. If I were king, I’d bring back the tort system and greatly reduce medical costs.

I love how Trump blows up the deficits to $1trillion plus and the only thing trumpists make threads on our imaginary worlds where all property rights are stripped away

How would you reduce costs?

Interesting, is it your opinion that litigation is driving up medical costs? In states that have capped medical malpractice awards, there has been no significant reduction in medical costs. How could that be?

The inheritance exception is 11,400,000 per person. I haven’t heard anybody talk of a 100% tax rate for the inheritance tax starting with no exemption.

And that is why I try very hard to keep my wealth limited to around $11,000,000… no incentive to earn more… /sarcasm… :joy:

There are many aspects of this. Why is it that when a drug is advertised on tv in a 60 second commercial, the first 15 seconds are telling all the good things it can do, while the next 45 seconds state all of the potential side effects. Then…that commercial is more often than not, followed by a lawyer’s commercial stating that if you took this drug, there’s a potential pot of gold waiting for you?

I swallowing the ■■■■■■■ facts. TOTAL medical liability costs—that’s for tort costs and defensive medicine costs—is around $55 billion dollars. TOTAL. We spend over $3.5 TRILLION on health care expenditures.

So get the ■■■■ out of here with that “sheople” food when all you’re doing is regurgitating a conservative talking point addressing an issue as if it’s a main reason we have high costs despite it being a drop in the bucket.

You lost the million dollars. Now…for your second question; what is the largest expense of all doctors practicing in the US?

It doesn’t matter. I just told you the ENTIRE cost of medical liability expenses. It’s $55 billion. Why are you asking about the portion of a doctor’s costs? Doctor’s salaries only make up 8% of total health care expenditures. Drop. In. The. Bucket.

You see, you’re dealing with someone who has spent a ridiculous amount of time looking into the data on all of this. You’re swinging out of your weight class.

Not when you’re a sheople bleeting out what the sheopherds dictate…you’re right.

What percent of tests are done now…for the single purpose being to cover their ass in case of a frivolous lawsuit?

I could go on and on. If…“we” adopted the tort system, our medical costs would fall in line with those of similar countries around the world.
