Do You Not Want to Own Property or Recieve an Inheritance Young People?

I’ll help him out. Here’s one Democratic politician that openly advocated for socialism. Never mind he’s just a movie character. Sing it with him…

We both know you will be waiting a long time.

Forget taxes. Just stop paying your mortgage.

Not really the same. As long as you have a mortgage you have a lien on said property as collateral to the loan.

It’s almost a little depressing knowing after spending 30 years paying off a loan on something you just transfer obligation from your lender to yourself because technically even though you pay your property tax, at the moment you get behind doing so they will still come after you but the lien holder is ultimately responsible and can be made to pay for those taxes.

I bet OP would be shocked to learn about all the SOCIALIST derived programs he has personally benefited from over the course of his lifetime.

I’m confused? Did you forget what you wrote?

Please tell me, which of the Democratic front runners wants to abolish private property?

Most of your post is snippable.

Inheritance has some curious problems with it, namely how someone who is dead can pass on property. You could keep property and abolish of inheritance and there wouldn’t be any inconsistency. This is not to say I’m in favor doing so.

The European model that they advocate does not abolish the illusion of private property.

Hope that helps.

They pass it on through a will or law.

I mean…who wants to have to get up early, not be able to sleep in, go to work, give your best efforts, for a minimum of 8 hours, 5 days a week, every week, of every year…until you retire?

Hellllllllllll noooooooooooooo…gimme, gimme, gimme…some of dat free stuff…amirite? :sunglasses:

No… you are not right.

Yeah…I know…but it’s a scary, big world out there…demanding all kinds of personal responsibility. :sunglasses:

Sure. Personal Responsibility.

But let us forget that the boom of the middle class in this country was built on massive social investment that has been eroding away since the 80’s.

In other words, all that free stuff actually motivates a negative outcome in the long run?

No.

The steady erosion of the social safety net has seen a marked decline in the fortunes of the Middle Class.

But let us not dwell on that.

Let us instead smugly yell “Free Stuff!” without any context as to the issues that are being raised and the history behind them.

It feels better.

My friend…stand back…take a deep breath and meditate for a second on how a child is created? Then ask yourself…was the creation an act of love or lust? If…it was love, both provide their long term committment of responsibility to provide a home, love, an education, food, guidance and all the necessary forms of nurturing to develop this baby, into a responsible adult…and the circle of life continues. Think about that. The government provided the financial means to substitute that end of the personal responsibility it takes to raise a child. They didn’t provide the rest and all that you equate to “erosion” is the result of this government mistake. The whole program should be revisited and redesigned to motivate a better outcome for the child…PERIOD.

Is the OP an argument about white privelege?

The largest entitlement programs, by far, are Social Security and Medicare. How does your theory apply to the elderly?

You call it entitlement. I say just give me back what I paid to the PROMISE you’d pay me back…and…you can keep all the interest you made on MY MONEY.

No that’s not socialism
