Many companies pay a salary y to avoid paying OT. There is a specific criteria, and companies take advantage of that. They know the EEOC does not have the manpower or budget to address these issues.
You are one of the lucky ones. I assume you were an engineer of some typ eworking for a corporation that paid well, good benefits and a generous 401k. Not all companies are that kind.
When business buya a $10 shovel per worker they get A.
When that business needa to by a $100,000 backhoe per worket they get B.
You facts are right but . . . instead of looking up facts and causes, you have mindlessly tried to spin them into your usual anti-somebody or another rhetoric.
HINT: First get facts, then form an opinion. It will make you happier and you’ll be right more often.
It really depends on the circle of people one surrounds themselves with. Outside of myself, I don’t personally know anyone who is a millionaire. No one in my circle has a clue as to my wealth. I’m a very simple person.
That’s not how it works. There are many professions that by their nature are salaried. Not all of them require extra hours.
Over the course of my 50 years as a software engineer, I’ve worked for a half dozen different companies. The most recent 3 companies were among the largest financial institutions. All of the positions were salaried by their nature.
“I want Joe Biden and Donald Trump to have to wrestle with this,” he says, adding that they should “look at their constituents in the eye and explain, ‘Here’s what I’m going to do to get you from the $50,000 you make today to the $100,000 you deserve.”
That is laughable.
Once again LIBs looking at a single fixed size pie where pieces being distributed. In order for the wealthy to get rich, they need to take a bigger slice of the pie, leaving less for the middle and the bottom.
The obvious solution becomes the rich giving up money to the Government so that they can redistribute as they see fit.
I’ve had this kind of discussion on many occasions, but this Rosa Parks Day thread isn’t the right place. Feel free to start a thread leading off with the article you linked.
