I am up for another holiday. My employer already observes 10 paid federal holidays though not sure they will observe another one.
But cant complain, I get the chance to balance working hard with plenty of paid time off.

One major hospital in Las Vegas…
6 paid hollidays and LABOR DAY aint one of them. 
I couldn’t believe my eyes.
But I was a workaholic and worked most of my holidays for double pay. 
Took ONE vacation in 43 years.

When I worked shift work we didn’t get off for holidays anyway.
Only day workers got off.
The American way! ■■■■ the workers! Greed is good, Profits are king. Billionaires are now running the show…I am sure they will let a bit more trickle down.

If we are going to mess around with holidays at all we should beging with a long overdue change.
Labor day should be moved to the Monday closest to Aug 14.
It is on Aug 14 1980 that the modern labor movement was launched. That was the day Lech Walesa climbed over the fence at the Lenin Shipyard in Gdańsk to join the striking workers inside. His action sparked a long overdue uprising of workers against their government oppressors.
