Black Lives Matter began as a call to action in response to state-sanctioned violence and anti-Black racism. Complaining they don’t do enough about crime in Chicago is like complaining that Breast Cancer organizations don’t do enough for Pancreatic Cancer.

That may be. However, imagine an organization called Lung Cancer Matters that spends all of their time talking about stuff like aerosol spray and zero time talking about smoking tobacco products.

I live here too and I understand what you are saying but Illinois and Chicago have been dominated by one party for decades and IT ISN’T GETTING BETTER.

Maybe if people opened up their minds, and didn’t look at this as a political problem for which a particular party can be blamed, and started looking at this as a societal problem, which it is…Maybe the youthful black lives of chicago’s children will begin to matter more than a political gotcha.

The democrats have been co-dependent in the societal problem.

For example, there is no reason to allow rioting and looting while telling law abiding citizens to shut down their business and to stay at home.

That is not discouraging the behavior to stop. It is in fact encouraging it.
