Disturbing reports of Russians streaming across the border

Since Russians are crossing the US border, not the Ukrainian, there is little concern from the White House. Here is a report from December:

In 2021, more than 4,100 Russians were encountered compared to fewer than 500 the previous year. Apprehensions have spiked further in October, with more than 1,500 Russian citizens apprehended.

Why does the US government seem much more concerned about security at the Ukrainian border than at the US border?

I work in a job in which I deal with over the road drivers all day long…Got news for ya…The vast majority barely speak english, most being eastern european.

You linked article has statements about how many folks were encountered and apprehended at the border. It has no information regarding the number of people who got past our border security. Might it be that our systems are working as they should? Is there any indication that they are not and it is the fault of the government?

A large portion of border crossers evade ICE.

Those who are caught are frequently released into the US any way.

The last estimate suggests that Biden released a total of 530,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. interior from January 20, 2021 to late October 2021.

Will have to wait till the midterms to remind the left the border security is a big issue to republicans and independents. Expect to see Biden try to swing center after the shellacking.

So the CIS.org article cites estimates based on developed models.
And the Breibart also cites estimates while it says there is data, but does not cite that data or link to it.
And the article admits that the levels are about the same as when testimony was given to Congress during the Trump administration.

The Biden administration is doing its best to hide the true state of the border crisis.

How many of those crossing the border were infected with COVID?

How many Americans were infected as a result?

Yes. Democrats are losing Hispanic voters big time, and majorities of Hispanics voters favor better border security.

But about half of them voiced approval for reducing legal immigration — a position that puts them to the right of many congressional Republicans on that issue. Meanwhile, 55 percent of Hispanics support more funding for border security.

Okay, so I am seeing all of this criticism. What do you suggest the Biden Administration do?

Return to Trump’s policies is a good starting point.

What specific policies? And what difference would they make?

Are you saying the are illegal?all of them. Remain in Mexico for starters

Are they illegal?

Return illegal border crossers to Mexico rather than transporting them to cities in the US.

Require the same health precautions at the southern border as those for tourists flying to the US legally.

Complete the walls that Trump started.

Meanwhile our government does a good job ensuring foreign suds are in the county legally because they’re collecting taxes on hootch.

Maybe we should charge a tax on people entering? That way they’d have something they care about to enforce?

If you really want to end illegal immigration here’s what needs to be done:

  1. End birthright citizenship.
  2. End free education for illegal immigrant children.
  3. Continuing building the wall where needed.
4a. Put a hold on considering any more asylum claims until our current backlog is cleared.
4b. Don’t accept any asylum claims from people who should be going to countries that are geographically closer.
  4. Tell the leadership of Mexico and all the other northern triangle countries to stop the flow at their borders or we cut off all aid and economic relationships.
  5. Develop a guest/seasonal worker program that offers legal status and employment to people from the various area’s who are looking for work to employer’s in the US who cannot fill jobs with US citizens. This would be a fluid system in which people come for a brief period of time where their paid US wages and go back home where that dollar they earn will go 10-20 times as far.
  6. Employ more drones and other tech to beef up border security.

Done

So what’s next?

Change the Constitution.
