What exactly did Biden implement that made gas prices higher in 2021-22?
Prove it. We just understood that the pandemic had downstream impacts on the global market. That wasn’t Biden (or his handlers) doing.
Biden policies did not cause gas prices to spike significantly over 2 weeks.
But let’s say everything you say is true about gas prices under Biden. Then are you admitting that you now don’t care about gas prices because of Trump? Are you admitting that Trump is the direct cause of gas price spiking and increases in inflation?
President Biden has implemented a moratorium on new oil and gas leasing on federal lands and waters, as part of his climate change agenda. This pause aims to review the impacts of fossil fuel development while not affecting existing leases or operations.
Overview of Biden’s Executive Orders on Oil and Gas
President Biden has taken significant steps to reshape U.S. oil and gas policy through a series of executive orders aimed at addressing climate change. These actions primarily focus on halting new oil and gas leasing on federal lands and waters.
Key Executive Orders
Moratorium on New Leasing
Biden signed an executive order that pauses new oil and natural gas leaseson public lands and offshore waters.
This moratorium is part of a broader review of the federal oil and gas program to assess its environmental impacts.
Cancellation of the Keystone XL Pipeline
On his first day in office, Biden revoked the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline, a project that had been a focal point of energy policy debates.
Rejoining the Paris Agreement
Biden re-entered the Paris climate accord, reaffirming the U.S. commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Impacts of the Executive Orders

Details
Existing Leases
The moratorium does not affect existing leases or operations, allowing current drilling to continue.
Environmental Goals
Aims to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, which are significantly contributed by fossil fuel extraction.
Industry Response
The oil and gas industry has expressed strong opposition, citing potential job losses and economic impacts.
Future Considerations
The Biden administration’s actions are seen as a critical part of a larger climate agenda, which includes plans to invest in renewable energy and conservation efforts.
Legal challenges from the oil and gas sector are anticipated as they seek to contest these executive orders.
These measures reflect a significant shift in U.S. energy policy, prioritizing environmental concerns over fossil fuel development.
American oil production has reached its largest volume in recorded history—more than 13.2 million barrels per day in October, official figures show—outpacing its highest point under Donald Trump’s presidency, 13 million barrels daily in November 2019.
When is that humiliation supposed to happen because you’re not very good at this.
You would do yourself a favor not trying to assume what I do and do not know. I’ve been in and out of the hospital 4x since December and have missed a massive amount of work. I understand struggling.
I’m also not a stupid liberal…I understand that when a chief executive has to make hard choices for the greater good and is making decisions effecting millions of people that person is never going to make everyone happy.
You libs are almost it seems giddy that doing right thing, which Trump and his administration have done, could backfire and you libs are doing whatever you can to poison the well.
You clowns just keep finding new ways to disgust me. American heroes have accepted the opportunity to defend our country and not just our freedom from terror but the world’s…and you fools are more than happy to play short term political games.
Aren’t you the phony who likes to lecture others about being partisans…look in the damn mirror.
what’s changed in the last day or so is the spread between WTI(US oil priice) and Brent. There was a 12-14 point spread but now WTI is even higher. It indicates a big constraint on oil supply in the US vs demand and its outflow to international markets. We’ve been insulated a bit on gas prices vs the world but now that’s gone. The rest of the world wants our oil and is willing to pay higher prices for it.
Except there is zero evidence that this has happened for the medium or long term.
And what has happened is Iran now has MORE leverage to “terrorize” the world economy, and little can be done to stop that at the moment.
So if you want the world the “appreciate” the “gift” Trump has “given us”, you actually have to provide evidence that said gift was given.
For now the mullahs are still in charge.
They still have access to the 60% enriched uranium, that they now will never even pretend to negotiate over
And they have an income stream from tolling Hormuz, and the tolls are in yuan, which weakens the petrodollar.
Which one of these things is a “gift to the world” again?
OBiden had an opportunity to at least to make an attempt intervening Putin’s incursion into Ukraine when everyone saw the Russians amassing weapons, equipment and soldiers at the border. He did nothing probably because Hunter didn’t get his check.
What a stupid question…which I have answered already. I explained exactly why I support taking out the terrorist sponsoring Iranian regime. The world will benefit long past the next midterm. Not my fault you have comprehension issues.
I’m no expert but you don’t “negotiate” with the Iranians…a show of force was required. Smart people in the military have done a masterful job executing the battle plans.
By the way…You as a hyper partisan Democrat haven’t got a leg to stand on lecturing me about struggle. Your party is responsible fur how many missed paychecks at the TSA and multiple other federal employees.
You really need to stop telling that obama lie over and over again. It has been proven that Iran did not live up to the deal. Even your God Obama said that iall the deal did was slow Iran down a few years from getting a nuke.
Iran laughed their butt off watching the inspectors only get to look where Iran allowed them to look. While they continued to work on getting a nuclear weapon at other sites.
