Discussion of Trump Speech 4/1/26

might. Lol. the masses dont like high prices no what the reason.

try selling that line of pablum to someone struggling financially.

its exactly that attitude that will lose the republicans the midtems.

Allan

Some of them claim to be driving those electric shavers around, but are still complaining about gas prices.

Your right. Would be fun though.

Chances are those chasing windmills are too delusional to realize they are being comical.

20% of oil comes through Hormuz. 30% of urea for fertilizer comes through Hormuz.

These are global commodities, meaning the prices we pay for them are impacted whether or not we actually get those commodities from the impacted area.

Reduce the availability of a global commodity by 20-30%, and what happens to the prices?

Increase the prices of fertilizer and what happens to farmers who need to plant their crops and already live on thin to negative margins?

Why are these concepts so difficult for any MAGAs to grasp?

This is why America can’t have nice things.

Because so many of its voting bloc takes complex geopolitical issues and boils it down to a cartoon slogan because they can’t grasp anything more complex.

So we get “Trump bad ass tough guy, all previous Presidents big wussies!”

LOL.

Gas is STILL lower than it reached when biden’s handlers were in charge.

So is this an admission that biden’s handlers ineptitude crashed the economy?

Wow. You’ve come a long way. Next you’ll be posting how much the Lakers suck.

we had a deal with iran regarding nukes which trump took us out of. when he became POTUS.

Allan

Here’s a concept that is a problem for we the American people and our politics

Sometimes someone has to make a really hard decision.

You are incapable of looking beyond the next midterm
why do you think American presidents and politicians have put up with Iran for 47 years worth of half measures and lip service
bringing us to a point today were the world is looking at the worst state sponsor of terrorism potentially in possession of nuclear weapons. It’s because too many of us are unwilling to look beyond the next midterm. There’s your pablum

I’m proud we finally have a president who’s willing to take those bastards out. Imagine the vicious attacks on Israel from a couple of Octobers ago magnified by a nuke.

You’re too shortsighted to see it but Trump and Hegseth and the United States military are doing the world a favor right now. The planet will even be safer for you leftists who are too shortsighted to see it.

The thing and the people I really hate are the braindead idiots on the left and in the democrat party who are just desperate for this to all go badly do they can score political points. The same people who made excuse after excuse for Biden when prices went higher for longer now acting like 6 or 7 weeks of short term price hikes are the end of the world.

You lunatics apologized for Biden flation for four years. Dont act like you didn’t.

The Trump admin is giving the world a gift. An Iran unable to serve as the planets greatest sponsor if terror. Only a bunch of idiot democrats would try to turn that into a bad thing.

That is my opinion. Basically
your party continues to totally suck.

Exactly. One has to have rocks between the ears not to understand that Iran is a global threat and their 2nd target after Israel is the United States. Thanks to Dem Presidents like Carter who withdrew USA support of the Shah almost 50 years ago and likes of the idiot Obama who gave them 1.7 billion $$$ on pallets of cash flown to Iran in the dead of night hoping if we are nice to Iran they’ll be nice to us, stupidity on steroids which is also known as “soft power” to moron Dems and many of our European allies.

I’m grateful to Trump who did what previous Presidents did not or could not do and it sets Iran’s nuclear program back a half a century or more.

The mullahs are still in charge.
They still have access to the nuclear materials that were enriched to 60%, with now no motivation to even pretend to negotiate over it.
They now have a new income stream from tolling Hormuz that they wisely didn’t make too onerous because it’s easier for countries to pay the tolls rather than try to contest Iran’s control of the Strait.
Oh and those tolls and the oil sales that result from the tankers who are allowed to pass are being carried out in yuan, eroding the petrodollar.

In an attempt to even pretend we can do anything about this, we have repositioned a bunch of assets away from the Pacific to the Middle East, as well as unsanctioned Russian and Iranian oil (giving them income streams) and starting to raid weapons funds that are meant to supply stocks of arms that would deter Russia and China.

So the world will be safer and America’s interests are served
how, again, exactly?

They’ve been “two weeks away” for decades now.

money-pit-2weeks

High gas prices under Biden were a result of events outside of his control like the aftermath of the pandemic and the start of the Ukraine/Russia war. The current gas price increases are because Trump chose to start to stupid war. Big difference.

LOL.

Basically you’re post amounts to

But
.but
but
. It wasn’t his fault.

I agree. It was his handlers fault. Biden thought he was still a senator and said as much several times.

Btw. Gas prices peaked under the biden regime in 2022. 2 years AFTER the pandemic.

Right
 after the pandemic
 when demand surged.

That’s how it works.

Prove me wrong instead of but

but deflecting.

Already did.

Maybe you should actually read what you are responding too rather than than knee jerk.

Wait, :rofl::joy:

Look who I’m asking.

But just to humiliate you further.

From previous post YOU responded to
.

You nitwits are all over the place.

You guys act as if we aren’t supposed to remember the damage wrought by on the American oil trade imposed by biden’s handlers.

Just make it up as you go along with.

I’m sorry basic economics is too confusing for you.

Good day.

You couldn’t humiliate me on your best day. Just curious
.what event happened in 2022 that spiked prices?

Biden didn’t start a war that resulted in 20% of the world’s oil being stopped/delayed
