Agreed. There isn’t a lot of money going into the state, and they really aren’t doing a ton of polling yet. There is certainly a small chance Florida could be in play, and I only think it would be for this election. I still consider it a reliable red state. The abortion issue is just a real monkey wrench at the moment, for here, in NC and in Arizona. It puts an added element that is below the surface into the mix, and it may not show in routine polls. Kansas and Wyoming passing abortion rights really shook the system, folks are much more interested in protecting rights than I thought.
The problem I see is that if folks are passing abortion rights, why would they vote for the person that took them away in the first place? He could simply sign a national ban and take them away again.
But he won’t and has championed the individual states citizens rights to vote for their own abortion laws. Why is this so difficult to grasp. Trump has also stated several times if elected POTUS, if Congress brings a
“Federal Abortion Bill” he will veto it.
Do you think people in Florida really want that screwed up abortion law, with the 6 week cutoff? That was pushed thru by a repub legislature and signed by DeSantis.
You will see what happens when they get a chance to vote.
She has already made her money and is a billionaire. She could stop making music tomorrow, and just shack up with Travis Kelce for the rest of her life and she would be just fine.
Besides, most of the people who are in her generation (her core fans) think and act just like her. How many blue hairs like me have you seen at her concerts?
Where in the US Constitution are citizens given the “rights” to abortion?
Whatever state you live in there are legislated guidelines for abortion the people of that state or commonwealth voted for.
Besides, do couples especially women want the goobermint managing their reproductive organs?
Correction. They WANT to be like Swift. Except they haven’t the talent or bank account to actually emulate her.
I don’t begrudge Taylor Swift. She is a successful entertainer. I do question parents especially mothers who lovingly rack up thousands of dollars of credit card debt for tickets, travel expenses, clothes etc to attend a concert with their children.
Being able to afford it is one thing. Saddling yourself with an insurmountable debt is another.
But if they all feel it’s worth it? Party on Wayne.
If people pass Amendment 4 in Florida and the other States such as Missouri pass their abortion referendums, government will be kicked out of regulating abortion.
I have nothing against Taylor Swift and nothing against (other people) liking her music. Her endorsement was measured and suggested others do their own research.
I just don’t live in the same world as a mega rich Hollywood type star and any opinion they might have of how we should live has nothing to do with me.
I am with you on this and I doubt in the scheme of things any celebrity endorsement makes a difference on election day but politicians certainly love them.
And every single media outlet has reported on Swifts endorsement so they obviously think their readers/viewers think the story is of some value.
