Every business I know, large and small, is doing everything they can to avoid checks and cash. The efficiency of electronic banking and lower cost are just too great. Those that still use checks and cash are saying a lot about their business acumen.

Paperless just means that you don’t get the checks and check memos back from the bank, the bank keeps the copies. We accept checks and credit cards from our customers. We couldn’t conduct our business without using checks not to mention our bookkeeper and CPA would have fits. A check is a receipt.

We just had an IRS audit of our payroll because of a complaint from a fired employee that we’d had on a salary. They looked at time cards, employee checks stubs, etc and concluded that we did everything right.
