Good question. Gut feeling? Because I’m a pessimist? Maybe because for most of the last 10,000 years most people lived lived as peasants under the thumb of theocratic or secular authority.
I’m not convinced that the rise of a healthy middle class is sustainable. Probably an anomaly.
Regulatory socialism is still socialism. There are more laws and regulations now than at any time in human history. There are so many laws it is impossible to not break them.
What’s the purpose of that?
This is about repurposing land. Take it away from the owners and build “multi-family dwellings.” For people who are completely dependent on government for their existence.
Create the dependency, then threaten to take it away and they will fall right into line. Same principle as drug dependency, which is also being tried.
None of this is about choice. It’s not about “saving the planet!”
