Yeah sorry, not buying it.
Black Leaders Once Championed the Strict Drug Laws They Now Seek to Dismantle...
Some historians challenge the idea that white conservatives were solely to blame for the laws that sent countless black men to prison.
Yeah sorry, not buying it.
They said no
WuWei: FloridaYankee:Three strikes laws, mandatory minimums, qualified immunity, lock 'em up and throw away the key philosophies in general have been pretty much universally adopted by law enforcement agencies throughout the country. All have brought us to this point we are at today in some measure or other. Who is to blame for that?
Democrats.
In some cases
Nixon coined the phrase “war on drugs” and got the ball rolling.
At the behest of black community leaders.
FloridaYankee:You think our police problems just happened overnight?
No they didn’t. Do you think police departments have a higher percentage of bad people than other professions? If so, why?
It’s a job where you get to exert authority over people.
Hmm. I’m not sure how that happened. Looks like it may have been edited between my copy and pastes. What difference does it make?
Hillary…is that you?

You’re going to have to prove that ■■■■ dude. He hated blacks and he hated drugs both with a passion.

Umm, nope. Here you go.
Some historians challenge the idea that white conservatives were solely to blame for the laws that sent countless black men to prison.
Some of us were alive back then. In fact, black leaders were calling Nixon racist for not doing more to stamp out drugs in their communities. Charlie Rangel and the black caucus were a huge proponent for being tough on drugs
Nope what? I asked for some proof. You provided some. It’s like I said, support was near universal. It doesn’t make Nixon less racist if you were supposing it might. He hated blacks.

Didn’t say it didn’t mean he was racist, but his drug policy was at the behest of the congressional black caucus and especially Charlie Rangel. They said it was racist not to help them get heroin out of the inner cities and if white kids were getting hooked and dying, they would. And did it all over again with Reagan and crack.
But you don’t know any of that, because democrats don’t want you to know.

The Democrats wasted money, time, create a spectacle, and still lose. It’s almost as if they were… Democrats
