Democrats Declare Emergency Over a Few Thousand illegals Coming to their Sanctuary Cities

If thousands of migrants are being dropped off in NYC, why should they just let their shelter system overflow instead of taking steps to not have these migrants on the streets? This attitude coming from people on the right is basically evidence that this is purely a publicity stunt and they don’t give a ■■■■ about the actual lives involved.

Desperate people do desperate things.

If Texas doesn’t have the power to do that, why would New York City?

If Texas doesn’t have the power to do this, why would NYC?

Read the news. 4-5 million since the clown you voted for took office. He’s setting records aren’t you proud???

It’s hard to get an exact # since there’s this thing called gotaways who avoid the overwhelmed border agents while they are processing the excessive # they make contact with daily. You know all this why do you folks play stupid.

As far as the thread topic…I’m all for sending large #’s of illegals to so called “sanctuary cities”. Sanctuary cities are part of the problem…part of the attraction to come illegally to this country. Sanctuary cities have told us “we welcome you…we love all people regardless of their status”. Unless that was all bs virtue signaling by the unaffected telling the edge yes how to act…then sanctuary cities should be welcoming bus load after bus load of these wonderful new Americans…

Or was it all just bs virtue signaling?

My boy is a second grader who doesn’t communicate with anyone outside of our country.

Oh, I see… you think Biden is “my boy”. Yea, he didn’t invite them.

Well at least he’s only has to own the ones on the street. That’s very charitable of you.

No one said they did. But libs did pass sanctuary laws to protect them from deportations.

I’m not agreeing. Its still part of the immigration system. How many asylees get sent back home after being granted asylum?

Which sources do you prefer? We can compare.

Why do you think Mexico is safe for asylum seekers?

Sounds like its needs some fixin’!

They just walked the length of it. Look like they are well feed. They speak the language. What makes you think it is not?

They suggest (sorry for the all caps, I copied and pasted):

  • MOVE IMMIGRATION COURT TO THE JUDICIAL BRANCH
  • DIVERSIFY AND TRAIN IMMIGRATION JUDGES
  • REDUCE THE COURT BACKLOG
  • PROVIDE LEGAL AID TO ASYLUM SEEKERS
  • END THE DETENTION OF ASYLUM SEEKERS
  • ACT AS AN EXAMPLE FOR OTHER WEALTHY COUNTRIES
  • MAKE THE ASYLUM SYSTEM LESS ADVERSARIAL
  • WORK WITH NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES TO CREATE STABILITY
  • PROCESS ASYLUM CLAIMS IN OTHER COUNTRIES
  • RECONSIDER HOW REFUGEE IS DEFINED

And in regards to the immigration system in general, here’s Cato’s list:

Says one side and the other side says its not so. How do we determine the truth teller?

Its easier to track someone down when they aren’t moving.

That is after their asylum claim has been approved. We were not talking about them but you knew that.

So nothing that is what I thought.
