Democrats cannot claim they support free speech, in fact they have become the party of censorship.
Censorship in schools/universities.
Censorship in media.
Censorship in social medias.
Censorship in arts and entertainment.
Censorship in work places and society in general.
Not only do democrats demand censorship…but they’re willing to use the power of government to enforce it by punishing anyone and everyone that opposes them.
So my question is…did they burn the flag for nothing?
Was all their demonstration in the past for freedom of speech also a lie?
And if not what changed? Why the 180?
Or is it that democrats never really believed in free speech or the Constitution in first place and only used speech to gain power…and now they want to slam that door shut?
Two examples in the same week.
One, the outrage over releasing the Capitol tapes that show the Jan6 committee was very selective in cutting tapes short in order to create a false impression.
Two, the vicious attack from Democrats in Congress trying to destroy the reputation of “so called” journalist Taibbi for revealing how government agencies were undermining free speech online. Plus, this makes the FTC interference in journalists reporting at Twitter look very suspicious.
In both cases, when you can’t refute the facts, attack the journalist.
And how many left leaning posters in this forum repudiate these attacks?
