Man, today’s numbers are looking baaaad.
So far, +44 deaths which puts us at a 5-day MA doubling time right at 3 days. The last three days (day 12-14 since 10th death) almost mirror Italy’s days 7-9 (actually a bit of a faster pace than their’s). If this rate maintains, we’ll be at 1,000 deaths in 1 week.
If global growth rates stay in line, we will reach 1million global cases in 2 weeks. 10mil in 4 weeks. 100mil in 6 weeks.
The peak is projected for May-June as herd immunity begins to take effect.
Americans are still in denial.

We should do a draconian crack down on violent crime. I am sure Democrats will support it.

Yes, while they refuse to leave their houses. Saying it has some similarity to the flu is not saying it’s identical to the flu.
This is the political virus thread. There is another thread where that can be avoided.
If people decide they want to concentrate all there effort on a worldwide biological and economic disaster on our President, and defend the communist country that spread the disease by hiding its existence, then this is the place to get blowback.
They are not exempt from their personal political exploitation of this crisis.
