I wish the Federal Government would follow Utah’s lead on a lot of things. The state, many counties and a lot of cities have “rainy day funds”. When times are good, they put a small percentage of revenue into these accounts. When times go bad, they can draw on them to cover the bills until things turn around again. We do have our problems (like last year, the legislature went stupid in trying to ram through a tax increase on us – be people in the state started a referendum and got the legislature to repeal it in specail session rather than see it go down in flames on Novembers ballot. They screwed up so bad that both Republican and Democrates didn’t like the tax increase.
I regret voting for him for President. He did good in running the Olympics here in 2002. But he’s going off the deep end since then. In Utah I don’t think he will be able to run for senate again – I don’t think he could run for dog catcher in this state and win with what he has turned into.
States need to make their own decisions but if infection rates start to spike or if infection rates in other states start to spike due to those decisions then perhaps it would be time for the federal government to intervene.
There are No easy answers which is what Dr. Fauci has been saying and trying to get across.
Yes your right its all over. The pandemic is done and there is nothing to be concerned about. No need to be cautious lets just act like the pandemic never happened.
Hurrah Trump led us to victory against the invisible enemy.
Gee, what was that little blurb I used to have when we could have a signature on our posts?
Oh yeah:
A government big enough to do anything FOR you, is big enough to do anything TO you.
You look to gov for everything don’t be surprised when they start yanking it away. You want the government to “solve” this and make it better and provide for you while you cower in your homes.
Don’t act surprised when they say No, we’ve done enough.
