And it’s not my fault you don’t understand the difference between truly offering hope and being a snake oil salesman.
They are close but yet distinctly different.

Not in the US, not yet anyhow.
WuWei:Not destroying the economy with a media-induced panic.
That’s an incessant trope lately, and I guess there’s reason from a certain angle to wonder about it. But in terms of interviews with people on the front lines (NOT opinion pieces from either side), isn’t everybody saying the same thing? Critical shortages of beds, PPE, testing (still!) Emergency rooms and wards starting to overflow, and ventilators and ICU’s already maxing out in some areas. Do you think CNN and MSNBC reporters have to search for hours to find a doctor or scientist willing to call the situation dire? Or is Fox News the only network struggling to find people in the trenches muttering “I don’t see what all the fuss is about”?
How many people do you think have caught the flu this season?
How many hospitalized?
Deaths?
True…the COVID hot spot app makers have access to the data.
Trying to imagine doing that here……………nope, not gonna happen. Fine by me though, but those smart thermometers on a voluntary basis could be groundbreaking.
These drugs are not snake oil.
And moment Trump tried…Trump is dictator. Hell you read here about DOJ getting involved…saying Trump would love doing just that, so he can go after he press etc.
It’s no win situation IMO.
The DOJ needs less power, not more. But never let a crisis go to waste…

How many flu seasons do you recall where the flu patients overwhelmed the emergency care units a month or two into the flu season?
These drugs are not snake oil.
The man selling them as more than they are is the snake oil salesman.

Who cares… COVID-19 isn’t the flu.
Why the need to keep comparing this to other viruses?
Do you go to a breast cancer patient and tell them “Don’t panic, Brain cancer is worse and kills more people!”
We need to address each virus as their own.

Your question is irrelevant.
I asked you the only one that matters.
Before the outbreak my children’s doctor was imploring us to get the kids shot records because we just moved…old Vietnamese doc, railing on about 80 thousand deaths that can be prevented with a flu shot.
Just because we’ve become numb to people dying of certain reasons doesn’t mean that we should take actions to lower the amount of people who die from preventable causes.

You haven’t answered. How many?
This was post I was referring too.
Sounds like Trump’s authoritarian dreams might come true. Next thing you know he will be shutting down media companies “in the name of public health”.
You have Google.

I know the answer to all three questions. You don’t.

How many hospitalized?
Deaths?
Asked and answered.
It does not matter…
How many Xboxes were sold last quarter?
