Chuck and Nancy are such liars!

Trump is good at keeping his promises.

Republican Politicians, (not the Conservative ones, cause they already do stand up
for us), need to actually quite being cowards, and stand up for their base for once!

Democrat Politicians are professional Con-Artists and they learned from the best.
The Clintons.

No. Because you falsely assumed the worst and accused me of “Trumping.” What ever that is. Either way. You made a mistake. And I’m moving on. Hoping you do too.:+1:

Here is the actual wording of the national emergency declaration…

DECLARING A NATIONAL EMERGENCY CONCERNING THE SOUTHERN BORDER OF THE UNITED STATES

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A PROCLAMATION

The current situation at the southern border presents a border security and humanitarian crisis that threatens core national security interests and constitutes a national emergency. The southern border is a major entry point for criminals, gang members, and illicit narcotics. The problem of large-scale unlawful migration through the southern border is long-standing, and despite the executive branch’s exercise of existing statutory authorities, the situation has worsened in certain respects in recent years. In particular, recent years have seen sharp increases in the number of family units entering and seeking entry to the United States and an inability to provide detention space for many of these aliens while their removal proceedings are pending. If not detained, such aliens are often released into the country and are often difficult to remove from the United States because they fail to appear for hearings, do not comply with orders of removal, or are otherwise difficult to locate. In response to the directive in my April 4, 2018, memorandum and subsequent requests for support by the Secretary of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense has provided support and resources to the Department of Homeland Security at the southern border. Because of the gravity of the current emergency situation, it is necessary for the Armed Forces to provide additional support to address the crisis._

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including sections 201 and 301 of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.), hereby declare that a national emergency exists at the southern border of the United States, and that section 12302 of title 10, United States Code, is invoked and made available, according to its terms, to the Secretaries of the military departments concerned, subject to the direction of the Secretary of Defense in the case of the Secretaries of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. To provide additional authority to the Department of Defense to support the Federal Government’s response to the emergency at the southern border, I hereby declare that this emergency requires use of the Armed Forces and, in accordance with section 301 of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1631), that the construction authority provided in section 2808 of title 10, United States Code, is invoked and made available, according to its terms, to the Secretary of Defense and, at the discretion of the Secretary of Defense, to the Secretaries of the military departments. I hereby direct as follows:

Section 1. The Secretary of Defense, or the Secretary of each relevant military department, as appropriate and consistent with applicable law, shall order as many units or members of the Ready Reserve to active duty as the Secretary concerned, in the Secretary’s discretion, determines to be appropriate to assist and support the activities of the Secretary of Homeland Security at the southern border. _

_ Sec. 2. The Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of the Interior, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and, subject to the discretion of the Secretary of Defense, the Secretaries of the military departments, shall take all appropriate actions, consistent with applicable law, to use or support the use of the authorities herein invoked, including, if necessary, the transfer and acceptance of jurisdiction over border lands._

_ Sec. 3. This proclamation is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person. _

_ IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this fifteenth day of February, in the year of our Lord two thousand nineteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-third._

_ DONALD J. TRUMP_

For reference, here is the text of 10 USC 2808 that is referenced in the bolded text above…

(a) In the event of a declaration of war or the declaration by the President of a national emergency in accordance with the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.)
that requires use of the armed forces, the Secretary of Defense, without regard to any other provision of law, may undertake military construction projects, and may
authorize the Secretaries of the military departments to undertake military construction projects, not otherwise authorized by law that are necessary to support such use of
the armed forces. Such projects may be undertaken only within the total amount of funds that have been appropriated for military construction, including funds appropriated
for family housing, that have not been obligated.

I won’t move on. Not as long as you try to make this my mistake.

You misheard the President. Not my fault or mistake. You embellished the number which was also not my fault or mistake. I didn’t assume the worst, I corrected your mistake.

Admit it, and then we’ll move on. Fair enough?

Trump is stealing from the military, no doubt about it.

Allan

One thing we must remember about all of this - this alleged “national emergency” is over a wall that, according to Donald Trump, Mexico is suppose to be paying for. He repeated this time and time again on the campaign trail.

It was bad enough when he promised that Mexico was paying for it, then decided to ask taxpayers (through congress) for the money. Now, when they’ve basically answered him, he’s trying to bypass them and get money that is suppose to be going elsewhere.

Here’s a fun lie…

I would build a great wall, and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me, and I’ll build them very inexpensively, I will build a great, great wall on our southern border. And I will have Mexico pay for that wall.

Mark my words.

And, while we’re on the subject of lying, Trump says he didn’t need to do this (in reference to the national emergency) in today’s speech. Thus, this cannot, by the definition of an emergency, be an emergency. So, either Trump is lying when he makes this statement, or he is lying by declaring a national emergency when there isn’t one.

He wants to raid disaster funds for military construction, like the rebuilding of a military base in Florida that was destroyed by a hurricane. Our new governer is practically a Trump sycophant in most areas and I bet even he won’t go for that. They are much needed funds indeed.

They are not defense hawks, have never been defense hawks, and saying they are concerned about “the security of our military and our nation” does not make them defense hawks.

Okay, wh!at was the deal with that new 10% tax break Trump was talking about right before the midterms?

Are there enough funds in that “military construction” budget? Interestingly, the House just held a hearing about some of these funds on Feb 13th.

Ironic isn’t it? Libs been gutting the military under Obama and now they’re worried about 2.5 billion for military drug indictment program? Or 3.6 billion from military construct programs?

Silly of Pelosi and Schmuck to even suggest such stupidity.

Then you are going to have to do it without me. Your choice. But I am moving on. Lata gata.

They think we’re stupid enough to believe that they are now Defense hawks. No folks. We are not.

Silly libs. Worried about how the constitution works. So stupid. Trump can do whatever he wants.

Apparently, the constitution is outdated now that Trump is in office.

Just as I suspected, your ignore my response.

Hint:

If you would like me to respond to something that I may have missed (And believe it or not, I occasionally miss things.) This is the worst possible way to do it. But you already knew that. Wanna try again?

Another Hint:

Following up one snarky remark up with a second snarky remark will not motivate me either.

Nope. I put in effort responding to you earlier at your request. I won’t waste my time again.

It’s a pattern that some individuals only reply to the snarky comments and less so to comments that genuinely offer discussion.
