But moment China attacks our mainland, all bets are off. The only excuse China would attack us if we launch attack on China assets from our mainland. You think China would go that far?
Also if China is stocking pilling weapons in Cuba than Americans have every right to stock pile weapon in Taiwan. Again I’m not sure China wants that.
Also if China keeps the fighting in S China sea, American peace movement will respond with no blood for Taiwan or microchips…but the moment they attack American mainland that all goes out the window. I’m sure Xi and his Generals knows this.

Not saying they are stockpiling them there yet, but I would hide mobile intermediate missiles there if it were me. And China isn’t like our last opponents. They are very strategic in their thinking. And they aren’t afraid to take casualties. Don’t expect them to allow us to remain untouched at home. Strategic combat is designed to suppress your enemy’s ability to sustain a war effort and dishearten their population’s support of a conflict. The main battle space would be in their backyard’ but disrupting our domestic power generation and refining capacity would really crimp our ability to sustain operations. It would also be very damaging to the psyche of our population. How many fossil fuel power stations knocked offline would it take to disrupt the grid and and for how long. How many coastal refineries could we stand to have taken off line before domestic logistics were threatened, let alone military logistics? And you think prices are high now, imagine them in a shooting war.
Only if they think they can’t win quickly enough without it. And there will be US warships already sunk and thousands of dead sailors, airman, and marines.
They don’t care about their population, any peace movement will be shut down and imprison. Strategically that would be last option if they cannot sustain there war effort.
Right now Americans are divided, raising future perverts and sexual freaks instead of men willing to defend this country is a plus for China.
And heaven forbid if you take away these kids ability to play video games, that might irk em enough to enlist.

I think they go after ours if/when the shooting starts. And I don’t think they would pin their hopes of victory on the US isolationist streak. I would also expect them to warn us that it stays conventional unless we go nuclear first.
They’ll care for a little while afterward. And there will be all sorts of recriminations about failure to prepare and forgetting that weakness doesn’t encourage peace.
Well we should have been prepare decades ago instead of funding there military, which of course what I’ve been advocating.

China and its allies are much more likely to use subversion and treachery than bombs and guns as the primary weapons against the US. Some in China say they have already won.
I suspect that most of the alleged tension between the US leadership and China are just for show.
They don’t have the ability to invade. They can’t project air power in force in the Eastern Pacific. Missiles are one thing, invading would be another and we would go nuclear to stop an invasion. But that doesn’t mean they can’t defeat us in a short conventional conflict focused in the Western Pacific with selective conventional strikes on US soil in support of achieving that victory. And the vast majority of Europe won’t do a thing. China would be sure have the conflict open around Taiwan and then attack our forces after we attempt to interceed. No NATO reaction to us initiating hostilities with Chinese forces.

We have just gone through a multiyear pandemic that originated in China, but the disease caused much greater damage to the US and Europe than it did to China and its neighbors. Has this just been a trial run on more destructive attacks in the future?

Curiously there were reports of Chinese troops training in Canada in 2020. The Canada government announced that they had left soon after the US election with barely a mention in US media.

The rules of war came out of Christian Europe during the Middle Ages. China does not have that history.
Likewise, the rules of war generally only applied between Christian nations in Europe not in struggles overseas.
There has been incredible growth of electronic communications, genetic engineering, artificial intelligence, etc. Abilities to conceal the source of attacks have also greatly increased.

There was certainly a vast alliance to remove Trump, one way or another. Chinese troops based in Canada may have been one component.
From what I see, Biden was selected to be the Democratic nominee because of the corrupt dealings with China and Ukraine, not in spite of them. Biden’s proxy war with Russia has helped China tremendously.
Neocon war rhetoric about China is just a distraction. The real battle to save democracy and freedom is already within the US, not on some distant shore.
