The nominees for the 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame had been announced. Some of the nominees are Cher, Foreigner, Sade, Mariah Carey and Eric B. & Rakin.

Oasis and Foreigner who I never listened to, would fit. I guess.

I’m happy that Sade is finally nominated.
They had good arena rock ballads.
Then again every band back then had good area rock ballads.

I’m really shocked Cher hasn’t been included already. Her classic stuff from the 60s and 70s is a pure as rock and roll can get.
It should be Sonny and Cher and Cher
all this is so perfectly relevant to people’s lives….

Nonsense. They created great Rock. Their 4 album is excellent.
I suppose you’re more if a Sade and Mariah Cary kind of guy. They never did Rock.
Great performer (as is Mariah) but she ain’t Rock.
Some of the heavy metal bands, who I never cared for in general, created some of the best Rock Ballads. It’s almost a genre of its own.
