Why doesn’t the current conservative conception of freedom have any provisions for curtailing the one group of organized, funded, valorized and legally immune persons most likely - in fact, duly commissioned - to act against the autonomy of citizens?

Here’s the thing you Libs don’t get: When you are stopped by police THEY ARE IN CHARGE! Cooperate and do what you are told to do. Don’t argue or get combative. Don’t walk away and most of all, DON’T REACH FOR THINGS!!

The dispatcher tells officers that there’s an alert for a person wanted for some reason, known in police radio code as a 10-99, at that address. Blake had a warrant issued for his arrest stemming from a domestic case in May.
You get to be conservative and authoritarian.
You maybe don’t get to use the word “freedom”, going forward, without looking comfortable with big, wet, slimy gobs of hypocrisy.
This is why time is needed to get all the facts and events in order.
The family is asking for this and for the community violence to stop immediately.

Yeah, that’s the thing. Commenting about police violence, or the recent conservative turn to naked authoritarianism, is definitely preventing investigations into police violence.
Wrong. They are not authorized to kill. They are authorized to DEFEND themselves and other citizens with deadly force if it is necessary. The onus IS on the person who is being questioned or arrested to cooperate. The fact that they don’t want to be arrested is not justification to walk away and reach for something in their car. Huge difference, but in your anti police bias, I’m sure you don’t see it…
