I’ve always maintained that if the government had just come out and said we’re taking all of Iraq and Afghanistan’s natural resources, the retention numbers would have never suffered the way they did under so many lies.
Conquering your enemies, and plundering their wealth is a time-honored tradition dating far beyond any known history.
To sit here and pretend like we’re somehow something different is just plain silly.

i’m sure there are other ramifications to regime change there but they have declared way on our way of life and have been trouble in the region abd abroad with terrorism for all our interests since the late 70’s. it’s time to take out the trash

Hard to forget the day that one was minding his own business, recovering from an August 5th grenade blast, only to find out that his platoon is going (first) straight into the Tangi Valley after Extortion 17 got shot down on August 6th (without him, because he’s still too ■■■■■■ up to stand up straight).

Meh, I’d rather you all just smoke a proverbial joint with me and forget the world for a few minutes.
I’ve had adventures that most people can’t even fantasize about doing, much less surviving. There were horrible days of course, like being the last human being on this Earth to have an intelligent conversation with Sgt Anson Curry, but where people can’t even conceive what I’ve done, I can’t conceive my life going any other way.
