This has shades of Libya back after 911. Gaddafi saw what was happening in Afghanistan and Iraq and became convinced he was next. He cut deals with the US, spilled on the Khan network in Pakistan and basically begged to be left alone by Bush. The regime in Cuba saw what happened in Venezuela, what is happening right now in Iran, and probably can’t help feeling a sense of dread that they are next. Russia and China don’t have the will, or the means, to prevent anything. And Cuba is only 90 miles away.

Lived in Cuba for a year at GTMO Bay…Would have been nice to go out the Northeast Gate and see the country and experience their culture…
