I get it but There are levels. Not everything is Afghanistan or Iraq but when you change the form of government (not just leadership) but the actual form of government of a country through violence - yep that’s nation building.
If a boot hits the ground to assist in the transition and that’s a huge if and i don’t think it will happen there will still be people saying that it’s not nation building
You’re ■■■■■■■ right this isn’t Iraq or Afghanistan! We didn’t destroy their entire communications/electrical/water/trash services which they require to live like human beings.
Iran is going to rebuild their own nation, and they’ll choose their own path.
We’re gonna be there to profit off of it. 
If boots hit the ground, that basic infrastructure is toast, and I’ll be hired in the first wave of civilian contractors to go nation build. Then I’ll take proper videos of what actual nation-building looks like.

It’s a minimal-moderate risk with a very high-reward.
The United States does not currently buy any oil, natural gas, petroleum products, or rare earth minerals from Iran. They have plenty of it, and plenty of reason to open trade with China and Russia’s greatest adversary.

Ok Iran I get. I’m fully behind it for the most part.
But Cuba? That I don’t understand. They aren’t some future risk to CONUS or our allies in the western hemisphere. So if we do go down that road, what’s the justification?
Again this reinforces we dont give a crap about the Iranians. The replacement government could indulge in genocide and as long as its a US friendly government then who cares.
So lets cut the crap that somehow this war is to free the Iranian people, its to install a government friendly to the US so we can benefit from everything @SixFoot correctly stated.
