FYI Canada is still part of the Commonwealth along with 50 + other countries.

It means everything! If England owns a country and the homeland burns down the whitehouse, then it is a declaration of war not only against England, but of all its territories. When you pay taxes to the homeland you are part of that country, whether you like it or not! You could be called XYZ, it still doesnt matter your England. Your technically only your own country, because parliament granted it. Your still responsible to the demands of England, if Englad goes to war, you go to war too, and they can take whatever resources they wish from Canada to win that war.

If you pay taxes to England, you are its subject! And in wartime they can confiscate your resources. They did it in WW2.
Question for you:
IF England was to declare war on the USA would they use Canada’s access to our border to bring troops in?
As a British Colony they could do that unless Canada decides to finally declare full independence from Britain.
