Can we tax, spend, open borders, and massively grow federal government into prosperity for all?

You should go back and look at your numbers, and base it off who controlled the House of Representatives… you know… the branch that actually controls the budget.

It reverses almost every point you tried to score.

In keeping with the question posed in your OP…how will all this government impact us?

I m no economist…but when the people of a country turn more and more of their self reliance over to a benevolent big government I can’t see anything but enforced mediocrity for all…

Our lives are made better, richer, more fulfilling by the Opportunity to take risks and see those chances materialize into success. The last thing I want is government determination of my standard of living. It seems reasonable to expect that the more we accept from big brother…the greater the restrictions and conditions coming from big brother’s “benevolence”!

And to follow up on the above post…

When risk/reward is replaced by government funded mediocrity …

Doesn’t it stand to reason that the first casualty will he innovationand creativity?

Instead of debating solutions plans ect with cons you are stuck debating reality

I heard 85% of the benefits of the Trump tax cut went towards the the very wealthy

You heard wrong.

Of course. Freight is way more important than commuters.

Yeah ok. Infrastructure week. I am sure you didn’t see them then either.

I m not very wealthy and I got a tax cut which I in turn re invested in my community, in my retirement, etc. this country experienced a significant economic boom following the tax cuts which benefitted all of us.

So apparently you heard wrong.

85 isn’t 100.

Never said any of that in the OP.

Do you know the difference between socialism and a social welfare state?
I suspect Biden could have easily negotiated a deal with Republicans on spending money on real infrastructure. Remember, he told us he could work with both sides of the aisle. He was going to be a uniter, not a divider.

(Music sting)

Don’t weep, stay asleep America
Land of our insider deals,
There’s castles and clothing and food for us
That now belongs to you

Ev’ry appropriation graft, ev’ry appropriation graft
We want to be billionaires
But there’s something still belonging to you
There’s enough for us to take

When it’s payday June and December too
Or in the winter time or spring
There’ll be profits without end
Ev’ry contractor our kin
And ev’ry appropriation graft

And before Biden could set up a meeting with Republicans Mitch McConnell makes a statement that his infrastructure bill will get no support from his side. He slammed the door shut at the get go.

Good for you.

Not everyone got a tax cut from the Trump “tax cut”. My taxes went up significantly.

If it was so bad it should have been done during Trump term.

Hyperbole.

They already have but in secret. It will surprise the hard working engineers making less than $200k when it is all said and done.
