Can anyone answer this question? Why don't Democrats want "open borders"?

I am not suggesting as soon as one legally enters the country, they can immediately apply for citizenship. Should there not be some sort of time frame before one becomes eligible to apply for citizenship?

Maybe there is. Please elaborate, since you have first hand knowledge.

TIA.

Hey if you aren’t down with caging their kids and electrocuting them on fences the only reasonable alternative is handing them all a voter registration card and a slice of apple pie and 10 free hours on an electric scooter.

Yes there is, 5 years after becoming a legal permanent resident. I’m asking what value does it add?

The question was, “Why would dem politicians not be in favor of open borders?”

So is Donald trump. His inlaws are chains…

Unless you are a president in law. Then…

Allan

And it was answered. No Democratic Party congressperson favors open borders.

You have been listening to Tokyo trump for too long…

Allan

NOT. NOT. NOT. NOT. NOT. NOT.

Damn!

Yes yes yes. Etc.

Expletive deleted.

Dems are not in favor of open borders no matter how much the president says so.

What the dems are in favor of is a comprehensive immigration reform bill that trump doesn’t want to sign or negotiate.

Allan

You didn’t answer the question. Why should I? Are you?

Good Lord. And I didn’t think it was possible.

What was the question asked in the OP?

Are you kidding us. That’s math 101. Huge difference.

Maybe you need to understand why he asked that. Possibly look up the definitions?

But then you aren’t understanding the question actually asked in this thread, so…

Huh! Buh! Huh… DEMS DON’T WANT OPEN BORDERS!!! NUH UH!

Forget the OP, I’d be happy if they’d read the damn thread title!

I am not sure what value it adds.
But I think it is a reasonable requirement.

Candidly, this is not my expertise.

What do you think?

What’s “reasonable” about it?
