So those living paycheck to paycheck have an option to leave? That’s your cold-hearted answer? Really?
Sorry I don’t want them to move. That’s how it spreads. Boise is already a cesspool from fleeing Californians and it’s slowly radiating outwards.
The border wall should turn north at Nevada.

So those living paycheck to paycheck have the option to leave? That’s your cold-hearted answer? Really?
Typical lib. They think they can hide their authoritarian views behind false compassion.

Don’t worry, I will definitely enjoy the beautiful beaches, people and weather.
Thanks for the concern
While being the most unaffordable state to live in.

What about those living at the bottom of the pay scale? Those living paycheck to paycheck. No concern for them I guess, as long as wealthy you gets to enjoy the beautiful beaches.
They have the option to move. California, for the most part, is not cheap.
Why haven’t all these amazingly brilliant lib politicians who have run the state for the past 50 years created the promised socialist utopia for all those poor working class people???

It looks like everyone is happy. Californians get the higher taxes they voted for and Republicans in Idaho and Indiana and Louisiana get to bitch about it. Win/win.
The only issue is when the repercussions of what they voted for hits them, some of those Californians move elsewhere spreading their idiocy.

So a whole state is now to be a haven for only the wealthy?
Well the median household income is 96K. So half of the state lives below that number.
Nice things cost money

Drive out the poor by excessive cost of living?
See above

Wow. Not a very compassionate thought. If you don’t like us gouging you and your family, pack up and leave? Pretty mean spirited.
That’s the beauty of the United States. There are options within this country for people who want to spend less on cost of living.
California isn’t for everyone but some people stretch to afford it because of the weather, terrain, people, opportunities, entertainment etc.

I never suggested someone spend money on things they can’t afford. Would you?

Such as moving out of State. You implied that those who couldn’t afford to live there should leave. More than a few can’t afford to make that move. They remain stuck in their low-end wages, while they watch their government continue to make it harder for them to survive with ever increasing taxes.
I wouldn’t expect the wealthy to really give a damn.
So now folks in California pay 59.6 cents per gallon in excise tax, which will increase to 61.2 cents per gallon. The OP article by Breitbart sucks as usual.

I feel sorry for the ones who are “trapped” so to speak
I could be wrong, but I think the massive exodus of those leaving was probably among those people. At least the ones I have met that left.

You implied that those who couldn’t afford to live there should leave.
Can leave… not should leave.

More than a few can’t afford to make that move.
All about trade offs.

All about trade offs.
I find your callous attitude towards those among us who are less fortunate somewhat puzzling. While at the same time you seem to be very concerned about a violent gang member terrorizing that same poor neighborhood getting his due process.
I can only shake my head in disbelief.

First the fires. Then the riots. Now the taxes…Again.
California is punishing progressive voters for their stupidity yet again. a 65 cent gas tax increase will send gas prices to over 6 bucks a gallon. And the nitwits of California will continue to vote for this. And I’m lovin it. Enjoy folks!
When they realize they’re votes were dipwitted and costing them money they don’t have, they move somewhere else that isn’t ruined and then tell those there in their new home…
…how to run things.

I find your callous attitude towards those among us who are less fortunate somewhat puzzling
You shouldn’t.

While at the same time you seem to be very concerned about a violent gang member terrorizing that same poor neighborhood getting his due process.
Huh?

I can only shake my head in disbelief.
You are disbelieving a strawman you created. Not based on anything I said.
Some (D)umbasses clearly love it when people spit in their mouths.

Every liberal who leaves California is an opportunity for a conservative to move in.

They’re like locusts, by the time that swarm moves on…there isn’t gonna be much left.
It is the attitude of the controlling elite animals in the Animal Farm. Now it comes to life in California.
