Buttigieg and Sanders rises in polls, Biden falls

In all seriousness…we really know nothing about each other except these posts and I believe conceived perception in this instance, is the truth’s shadow. Here’s the doob. :sunglasses:

Well thats not true…

What’s your point? Didn’t I already admit too being a baaaaaad man?

He is probably one of the most reasonable that they have. But that ain’t sayin much.

Well try to be better.

Better be primo sativa flower!

I am. But I’m sooooo good at being bad!:japanese_goblin:

Umm, Bernie is a far-lefty and he’s leading the polls…

The top 3 candidates are Sanders, Buttigieg, and Biden. All are polling in double digits for the April polls for Iowa and NH. Only 1/3 is running as a Democratic socialist.

Currently there are 8 Democrats running with polling numbers above 1% in Iowa and NH. Only Sanders is running as a Democratic Socialist. You could argue Warren is as well. Given that, the field is 6 liberal/progressive candidates, 2 Democratic Socialists.

In Iowa, Biden is in 1st place, Sanders in 2nd, and Buttigieg in 3rd.

In NH, Sanders is in 1st, followed by Biden, and Buttigieg in 3rd.

You realize the last time a GOP candidate “stomped” an opponent the Berlin Wall hadn’t fallen yet?

Trump may win but demographics preclude a GOP candidate from “stomping” a Democratic candidate.

Yes, but you argue that Democrats are mostly not leftists- yet the leader of the polls (aggregated) is a leftist.

It’s really too early to be taking anything seriously about the polls. You kids have your fun though, ok?

Name recognition in a fractured field.

It’s how Trump won.

Sander is not the leader of the pack. It’s Biden.

If the Democratic voters are all Democratic Socialists, why are only 6 of the major 8 running to the far-left so to speak?

I post on a sports message board and every year our fans freak no matter where we’re ranked in the preseason.

At the end of every regular season I’ll do a thread where I list…

The Preseason poll
and the…
Current poll

SIDE BY SIDE

It’s normally hilarious.

That’s what these early presidential threads remind me of. Preseason Polls.

I’d say National Polls usually will be reflected ultimately in the eventual vote. South Carolina, even California is going to be a factor they are early. Nonetheless, right now it isn’t that important, but still interesting. Still a long time to go to when they actually matter. Biden is kind of gaffe prone he has run horrible presidential campaigns in the past, and he did too many things in the past that have been looked over in the past because he was Obama’s running mate. His statements on the crime bill in the 90s, his statements on the blacks in the past against busing, ain’t going to play well with Democrat opponents who want to knock him off. He said also 'why should I have to pay for what happened hundreds of years ago to blacks, he had a statement like that. I actually agree with that, but that could very much damage the support of him among blacks, which is pretty high right now, but if they hear that, the enthusiasm for him I think will go down. Democrat contenders who want themselves to be competitive are going to attack him, I’m not sure he can withstand it.

You’re ignoring a gigantic factor here: When most of the candidates drop out of the race after NH, their supporters go elsewhere. That means that Candidate A might be leading with 10 competitors, but with only 4 contenders, his lead might slip into 2nd or 3rd place. It all depends on somebody’s 2nd or 3rd choice would be.

I saw the oddest news report about Buttigieg. It was by CBS News reporter Major Garrett. He reported on a controversy between Buttigieg and Vice President Pence, both from Indiana. The report showed Buttigieg saying Pence should come out against all forms of bigotry. Then it showed a clip of Pence saying peoples religious freedoms should be respected.

The odd thing about it is that it never said what the controversy was. I kept rewinding and fast forwarding thinking I just missed it. But surprisingly the report just never said what it was.

Later I understood what it was and why what it was about wasn’t mentioned in the report. Buttigieg is the first openly gay Presidential candiadate. Buttigieg apparently takes Pence’s pro-Christian views as being anti-gay.

I have no problem with Buttigieg being gay. It just irritated me that the reporter Major Garrett would mention this controversy without saying what it was about. If he wasn’t going to say what it was about he shoudn’t have mentioned it at all.

I don’t think Biden will enter the race with the negative outcome of the Mueller inquiry, and the fact that he was second in command during the dishonest application the the FISA Court. To stand would also invite closer public discussion of his family’s business dealing with China. https://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=AwrxhWZ5EcBcpT4AywnnHgx.;_ylu=X3oDMTBycWJpM21vBGNvbG8Dc2czBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDBHNlYwNzcg--/RV=2/RE=1556120058/RO=10/RU=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.independentsentinel.com%2Fbiden-kerry-sons-lucrative-but-shady-business-with-chicoms%2F/RK=2/RS=THNVTl4ttcQmx8PG.G5jvBa8io0-

Surprisingly, the Democratic leadership does not seem to realize that.
Perhaps, they are led by the ultra-left news media?
