I am guessing about 30 percent of the party wants actual socialism. With the majority of them being young people. The good thing is most tend to grow out of it once they get out and start building their own career and then they are replaced by the next wave of young people - rinse and repeat.

Thatā€™s true. The older you get and more your career advances and the more you accumulate the less you are going to go for socialism.

There is a spectre haunting America.

Yes, most of them are hourly workers in retailā€¦ . Not the most career minded folks in the country by a long stretch.

In other words, the more you advance your career and accumulated the more you become a selfish pric.

Nice.

Or, the harder you have to work for what you have the less likely you are to give it away. Just human nature I think.

Yep. Itā€™s real easy to give away(or take) the money of others.

IMOā€¦the opposite happens. I live my life that if everything went wrong, those depending on me would still be ok. Iā€™m not a risk taker and yet, Iā€™m in a very risky business. This causes me to be ultraconservative in business decisions. When Iā€™m comfortable that all is okā€¦even if everything goes wrong, I tend to become much more generous. Thatā€™s been the case now for almost a decade and itā€™s my pleasure to give freely to causes and needs in the community.

One of the neat things Iā€™ve found are that there are many people out there that are driven to fix a problem. Those are the people I tend to give to the most. They take this gift and using their energy and knowledge, take it right to the problem and fix itā€¦what ever that may be? I refer to these individuals as The Lordā€™s mechanics and all I have to do is buy the part. They install it for free.

This is capitalism at work and Iā€™ve witnessed many other business people doing the same thing. Iā€™m not unusual. The government is a screw up machine butā€¦because the money is never endingā€¦eventually they get something done. It was done inefficiently though with a lot of waste and money spent needlessly, that did not address the problem being addressed.

So youā€™re one of those that thinks Canada is Socialist? Theyā€™re a CAPITALIST economy with a safety net, though that safety net is much larger than it needs to be. If it was smaller, they too would have the disposable income of Americans. Their government consumes about 40% of their GDP while ours consumers about 35%. Both are capitalist driven economies.

Leisure, hospitality, and Recreation are by definition retail businessesā€¦ .

Try again.

More importantly theirs is heavily dependent on agriculture and their rich natural resources.

Outside of Russia they probably have the largest standing mass of accessible for harvest old growth timber in the world.

Name some people you think didnā€™t give their best effort.

Then youā€™ve got certain churches saying theyā€™re essential.

Bear in mind these place can do virtual services.

But certain of 'em donā€™t want to lose their flock to televangelists.

If all this guys flock gets coronavirus because one of 'em caught it at Walmart and gave it to everyone at one of his services, will God punish him for his overweening arrogance?

Letā€™s hope so.

No, most churches donā€™t have that capability.

Hobby Lobby decided to close all of their stores until further notice. More to the unemployment line.
