I recently rewatched Hooper. Not quite as funny as I remembered, but still very entertaining. It led me to his imdb bio page and then a few articles. He led an interesting life.
I think Cannonball Run holds up. That one is still hilarious.

Cannonball Run and Stroker Ace are seared into my memory for some reason, they were on TV a bunch when I was a kid I think. He had some good parts later on, RIP.

One of the lesser known Reynolds films was a dark comedy called “The End”. I actually went to a live interview in NYC that Reynolds did when the film was being screened. Good cast - Dom DeLuise, Joanne Woodward, Myrna Loy, Sally Field, Carl Reiner. Spotty at times, but worth checking out.
Always enjoyed his work. I didnt’ realize he’d died but I’ve been watching his gunsmoke episodes this week on TBS.
They’re running a full week of them.
