Retired Israeli brigadier general: “We are in a situation where the pace at which Hamas is rebuilding itself is higher than the pace that the IDF is eradicating them."
Arab officials: Hamas may have recruited thousands of new operatives in recent months, by using the humanitarian crisis in Gaza to its advantage.
Random Trump voter on the internet: Spin, not fact.
I haven’t seen one post from him that says it will be different other than the name of the group attacking Israel. Perhaps you are having a different conversation than the rest of us.
Me ether. But that in no way gives it credence. You’d be better off not using it to defend your thesis that Hamas is still an effective fighting force.
The article’s link of that supposed statement to the WSJ is broken. We really don’t know what was said.
That isn’t a sourced quote. We have no idea what officials are being referred to.
The article is mostly spin with an agenda that seems to line up with your agenda.
I didn’t vote for Trump this go round. I’m not some random person on the internet. I’m a member of this forum expressing an opinion that is obviously at odds with yours.
Yes, some number of Palestinians will pledge their loyalty to Hamas. Yes, they will be counted as soldiers. But they are not even remotely as effective as those that are being killed.
My position is that following October 7th, everything is different this time around. Israel is not going to simply sit back and allow Hamas to rearm and once again threaten the State of Israel.
I believe Israel is biding its time, while getting as many of the hostages released as possible. Once that process is complete, all bets will be off.
I see no possible outcome, where Hamas is again in charge of Gaza.
Unless I’m mistaken you’re arguing that Israel will not allow any fighting force to threaten them from Gaza again, no matter what they call themselves. That’s where I think you’re wrong.
