Biden to usurp legislative power and create ‘online sign-up for asylum’ and flood U.S. with world’s poverty stricken

207000 + last month. A June record…

I should have read your original OP more closely. Biden/Harris did tell migrants not to come. They are still using Title 42. They are encountering 200k a month. Expelling more than half.

Other than that… not sure what else can be done. Stop all asylum claims?

We are a population of 340 million. Even if we took in 1 million immigrants a year… it would barely make a dent in avg income levels. That’s assuming they all start in poverty .

So you believe we should flood the labor market then? You realize that the current imbalance in job openings is actually a good thing for the US worker. Furthermore, the imbalance doesn’t mean that the people showing up at the Southern border are the workers that these companies are looking for. The current economic and labor landscape is currently in a transition and faces numerous uncertainties:

From the link:

2. A GROWING DIVIDE

  • Despite a record number of job openings and shortage of workers, employers continue to favor candidates with several years of experience and those who are available to work odd hours and willing to work on-site.*
  • Workers, on the other hand, are seeking higher salaries, more flexibility (including flexible schedules and remote work options) and safe work environments. About 55% of job seekers on ZipRecruiter are seeking jobs that allow them to work from home, citing workplace safety concerns and childcare or family care needs.*
  • This mismatch in priorities has created yet another post-Covid hiring challenge. Employers can’t fill their open positions, and job seekers can’t find jobs despite applying to numerous positions online.*

4. ROBOTS SNUB PROMISING CANDIDATES

  • In spite of it being a job seeker’s labor market, many candidates cannot find a job. Blame the robots.*
Seeking to streamline their job application processes, more companies are using automated screening systems that exclude candidates who are not a near perfect fit “on paper.” According to a Harvard Business School study, nearly half of employers say they automatically reject candidates who have not worked in more than six months, regardless of the circumstances.
  • Job seekers apply to job postings assuming that a human being will read their applications and resumes. That’s usually not the case these days. More than 90% of major employers are using automated screening systems to process job applications, Harvard Business School reported.*
  • These systems use algorithms that can weed out unqualified and qualified candidates. *

6. LOW WAGES TURN OFF JOB SEEKERS

  • The No. 1 reason businesses struggle to fill open jobs is that wages are too low, according to a survey of more than 3,000 hourly workers conducted by employer payment platform Branch. Fear of exposure to Covid-19 at work came in second with 46% of the vote.*
  • Sixty-eight percent of the employees surveyed agreed that people can earn more from unemployment benefits and stimulus checks than from working for the retailers, hotels and restaurants that are desperate for workers.*

Actually enforcing immigration laws in the interior would be nice.

This isn’t my OP. Regarding my OP, just about every link posted here Just don't call it open borders says otherwise.

You just posted many reasons why immigration should increase… not decrease. There are millions of jobs that don’t require an education. Those can be filled by immigrants

Also, you’re aware that deportations are down significantly under Biden:

Oh I think it’s silly but conservatives have told me that simply telling a country or corporation something means they will listen.

Like oil companies, for example.

First, what’s happening at the border is NOT immigration. Second, there’s not anyone on the Right on this forum who does not support merit/needs based immigration.

Is it? Are we? I think that’s more the attitude towards illegals who have been here for years, not the ones that just got here. And if the goal is to get in as many as possible, why are we still deporting people and refusing asylum to some?

every day 100s of illegal men meet at the train station in dover and look for work, the business owners come by and hire them on a day labor status, been going on for years (31 and counting). start arresting business owners.

When you stop wall construction and it’s laying there rotting for illegals to see, when you raise your hand into the air and promise them free healthcare if they’ll come, when you place Mayorkas in charge…it makes it not only true but…a fact.

Says the guy posting an article from 2019 in a weak attempt to pad his narrative about the present administration.

…says the Russian collusion, illusion, delusional Brandonite that has no credibility left what soever. :sunglasses:

That is the Democrat Leadership’s plan. Fill the country with millions and millions of the world’s poverty-stricken, and turn the United States into the kind of country these millions and millions have come from.

There is no surer way to weaken, subdue and bring to its knees a prosperous and freedom loving country than by flooding it with deadly drugs, an inflated currency and the poverty stricken, poorly educated, low skilled, diseased, disabled, and criminal populations of other countries.

Brilliant…

Thank you.

The problem is, currently there are about 4 million coming in a year [which includes estimated “got-a-ways”] and in ten years that’s about 40 million of other countries poverty stricken, poorly educated, low skilled, diseased, disabled, and criminals, which is more than a “dent” as you put it.

But tell me, why on earth are you so intent on defending the flooding of the United States with millions upon millions other countries destitute populations when we are having trouble helping to feed, house and care for our own citizens?

What will it take for American Citizens to accept the fact that their homeland is under attack orchestrated by the Democrat Party Leadership?

Might want to get on your reps who keep pushing for more and more work visas for their corporate owners then. Guess what happens when those work visas expire? You guys are worried about these mythical invaders at the border and not the people who were brought into this country years ago to save a buck and are STILL here long after their TEMPORARY visas expired.

Both parties have been consistently working to eliminate caps on work visas issued. Let’s just ignore those bunch of sellouts though.
