Due in part to the strong first quarter numbers and a surge in demand from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), Wood Mackenzie expects the solar market to triple in size over the next five years, bringing total installed solar capacity to 378 GW by 2028.
The IRA has also spurred a surge of new manufacturing announcements, with domestic module capacity expected to rise from fewer than 9 GW today to more than 60 GW by 2026. At least 16 GW of module manufacturing facilities are under construction as of the end of Q1 2023.

The researchers found that as a result of the 45X MPTC alone, the cost of solar panels both assembled in the US and made from 100% US-made components are now 30% cheaper than imported solar panels.
US-made onshore and offshore wind components such as towers, turbine blades, and nacelles will also be cheaper than imported components for the first time.

A lot of people who met QEII and now King Charles screw up the etiquette. Everyone is briefed before a meeting but there is too much to remember.
Americans are naturally more inclined to be touchy feely than us Brits so no surprise in what happened.
Its not going to damage relations or cause an international incident.
The days of the UK monarch demanding the heads of those who dared stray from etiquette are long gone.
