As Always, Socialism Impoverished Everyone

Cool…then let’s move to where they moved away to…since it is just capitalism with a few more social safety nets.

stricter immigration policies, tightened eligibility requirements for welfare benefit systems, taken a tougher stance on crime, and carried out business-friendly policies.

Welcome to the GOP

When you truncate like that, you have changed the essence my post.

This is what I said:

Still seems to produce overall better economic and social results than we have.

Address that, not the overall economy.

What “better economic results” does Norway have over the US?

I am ok with those…are you ok making the move to those, along with their higher taxation, much larger, more robust social safety nets, and programs, and more regulations regarding the economy?

Don’t know much about most of them but umm, Ireland isn’t socialist, jeesh, it’s a tax haven for multinational corporations.

They have a stronger middle class than we do, due to their economic results and regulations.

On the Global Social Mobility Index, we are #27 The top spots are all in Scandinavia.

We do have more billionaires, so there is that.

You aren’t paying attention. Focus!

Back at you…

Are you ok with us moving to where most of Scandinavia is today regarding taxes and social safety nets? Or maybe Germany…we could embrace many of the conservative policies as well.

Based on?

Until you compare apples to apples, Scandinavian immigrants in the US do far better than Scandinavians at home.

The 4.4 million or so Americans with Swedish origins are considerably richer than average Americans, as are other immigrant groups from Scandinavia. If Americans with Swedish ancestry were to form their own country, their per capita GDP would be $56,900, more than $10,000 above the income of the average American. This is also far above Swedish GDP per capita, at $36,600. Swedes living in the USA are thus approximately 53 per cent more wealthy than Swedes (excluding immigrants) in their native country (OECD, 2009; US Census database).

You are welcome.
