Why does everything have to go back to the scriptures? Especially when we know the scriptures aren’t actually the scriptures? Who says that the whole Heaven/Hell bit in the bible wasn’t written by men to control other men and wasn’t passed down by any sort of God at all?
No argument on your last and you are preaching to the quire.
I use scriptures because the better people know the bible, the less likely they will continue to be Christians. The same applies to other holy books, notably Islam.
If I want to play in the Christian ball park, I have to play with their ball.

That just leads to circular arguments. You can’t convince the truly faithful that their faith is misguided. You can try to get them to get there on their own, but YOU will NEVER convince them.
It’s why whenever you argue religion with the faithful, they always point back to their “scriptures” as proof that they’re right. Anything outside of those “scriptures” is false. Doesn’t matter what evidence or proof you have. That’s how faith works. Discard reason. Discard common sense. They’re not needed where religion is concerned.
Which particular lyrics do you have in mind? I am not familiar with the Why do you think that I must think God intended Adam to sin and die? God made provision for anyone who might sin as a result of being given free will. He was in that sense “the lamb slain before the foundation of the world”.
But maybe the Son was prepared before creation to die for just one, if necessary, even if no one but that one happened to fall for the “You shouldn’t trust God” sales pitch.
What makes you think the Bible teaches that the END is hell for most. Hell may be NEXT for most. But why must it be the END for most? God seems to be very committed to reconciling with sinners whenever that is justly possible.
I hear you and all I can do is point out the scriptures they are ignoring to hold their position and that likely contradict them and that is how I try to put a bit of subconscious doubt in their brainwashed minds.
It is not easy to convert a sheeple but it is our duty to try.
You must also remember that you are writing to the lurkers who may be undecided.
I actually have more success with them and know that from the P Ms I have gotten.
The belligerent and obtuse religious interlocutor has usually been around a while and shame prevents him from openly changing his mind.

The tomb is empty. Jesus Christ has risen and acknowledging Him as your personal Lord and Saviour is the only way to heaven.
Certainly no mention of Divine guidance on which books belong in the Bible or not, because it was done by Romans at the height of their power.
