Are we headed for another government shutdown?

For some reason I don’t remember that. Thanks.

At least no one is surprised. In the last four years the Republicans had no issue with raising the debt ceiling twice to go along with nearly $8 trillion in new debt. It’s only fitting they have an issue with spending now. The nice thing is if the debt ceiling isn’t raised, the Republicans have already taken culpability.

Always different when the Republicans are in power.

I  shutdowns

Too bad this isn’t a shutdown.

I know.

Quislings and cowards never let it be.

No it’s just not a shutdown. All it will do is purposefully tank the economy. What do y’all not get about this.

With any luck there will be, hopefully very long and drawn out. Blame hell, take the credit.

So maybe keep it to 2 trill a year then…

Sleepy Joe snores too loud…keeps us edgy.

It does. $1.8 trillion in FY 2022, down to $1.3 trillion by 2027.

Previous year’s budget deficits:
2016: $0.59 trillion
2017: $0.67 trillion
2018: $0.78 trillion
2019: $0.98 trillion
2020: $3.13 trillion
2021: $3.67 trillion

The deficit would literally be cut in half from 2021 to 2022. Don’t get me wrong, I think these numbers are horrific, but at least better than the last two years.

That is Covid cost cooked in.

America needs someone to stop the car and beat it with a flip flop.
