Doug…I look at it like this…The executive branch attacked the legislative branch for the purpose of delaying the electoral vote certification…only he didn’t do it himself…He said march with me to the capitol…then sent them on their way, and got back in his limo went back to the white house and watched from the west wing. Rudy G said trial by combat…Isn’t that what they got? I have a pretty sound perspective on this. It was seditious, the executive branch…the President went to a rally, and said lets march to the capitol. And after being told by the presidents attorney, this is trial by combat…they stormed the capitol. MY only question comes as this…Why was the capitol not more protected? Why were some people just let in the front doors? Who gave those directions?

Eliminate unrequested mail in ballots. Want a mail in ballot? Request one from the election board like all absentee ballot users have for years. The local election board knows who are living eligible registered voters. How about voter ID? You have to show an ID at the bank, to cash a check, buy alcohol, drive a car. Hell, they ask for your ID at the doctors office along with your insurance card! I know that might sound like “Trumpian” rhetoric but seriously, it’s offensive to ask someone to prove who they are to be able to exercise their US citizen right to vote?

I received a mail-in ballot without requesting one because I am over 65. Not sure how that is any different that any other mail-in ballot delivered without request.

Trump made it clear even before the election that he would see his loss as a massive orchestrated effort by DEMs to steal the election. He set the stage early on and has followed that script religiously. I hold him alone responsible for the whole series of events leading to the tragic rioting yesterday.

With good reason. Take a look at California. Democrats have long had their fingers in every means of election manipulation possible. Fair elections are not their bailiwick; winning elections by all means possible, yes. Take a look at the Kennedy election as well–and that was at a time the Democrat machine was much smaller than it is today.

That is an interpretation of what may have happened. If you could actually prove that Trump planned with them to break into the capitol to stop the vote count, I would have to agree. The only thing lacking is proof that it happened that way.

I’m almost 70, I received three! My wife has been voting in Florida for 10 years, she received three as well here in MD and she notified the election board of her change in domicile. Our youngest daughter hasn’t lived in our home since grad school nearly 6 years ago received two! Why did that happen?
I voted in person; wait time 1hr 20 mins.

I don’t believe he sat down and planned it with them, but I’m beginning to think the events unfolded as he envisioned they would. I don’t believe he expected the swift condemnation from all sides. I further believe this kills any chance he might have had for 2024.

I find it ironic that this is spoken when a Republican won a special Congressional election this year by dominating the very mail-in balloting that was supposedly put in place by Democrats to “steal elections”.

Not exactly. Biden may have won. But we will never know because the voting issues were ignored. Ignoring issues makes people suspect shenanigans. Telling poll watchers to go away does nothing to promote confidence.
