Dems are about as Apolitical as a Pole Cat (Skunk for city slickers ) is Stinkless!
There are more than a few LIBs who honestly believe they are apolitical. I am convinced Cillizza is one of them.
Its not like DEMs havenāt done exactly the same thing.
As long as they are changed when the GOP is back in control.
when did I suggest otherwise?
when did I suggest otherwise?
You singled out Cruz and McConnell. If you had included a few DEMs as well then I wouldnāt have called you on it.
Kavanaugh was a bad pick.
CanadianJudo:when did I suggest otherwise?

I singled out Cruz because he is doing it currently.
there is no such thing as bipartisanship in American politics.
Kavanaugh was a bad pick.
Hind Sight is 20-20. I wonder if they would have gone with someone else knowing what they know now.

I donāt know, but he was a bad pick from the start.

There used to be. Reagan and Clinton both enjoyed some amount of bipartisanship. I believe things began to go down hill with Bush Junior. Iām wondering if it might have had something to do with the closeness of the 2000 election and DEMs feeling like they were robbed.
I donāt know, but he was a bad pick from the start.
Care to share why you feel that way?

Heās weak.
Supreme_War_Pig:Who knows? But of course the court is political. It always has been.
There are more than a few LIBs who honestly believe they are apolitical. I am convinced Cillizza is one of them.
Thatās fine, but CONS are just as political
Supreme_War_Pig:Hereās the catch: the rules that Cruz and McConnell are exploiting are not in the constitution, they are Senate rules and can be changed. So there is some hope.
As long as they are changed when the GOP is back in control.
So a Senator in the Dem minority can boondoggle a Rep Presidentās picks?
Iād prefer we return to comity and good faith.
Thatās fine, but CONS are just as political
Of course they are.
Keep politics out of my politics.
There is, of course, only one other option.
Iād prefer we return to comity and good faith.
I long for a return to those days as well.
There is, of course, only one other option.
And what would that be?
For my benefit what do they know now that they didnāt know then?
