Are DEMS Apolitical?

Dems are about as Apolitical as a Pole Cat (Skunk for city slickers ) is Stinkless!

There are more than a few LIBs who honestly believe they are apolitical. I am convinced Cillizza is one of them.

Its not like DEMs havenā€™t done exactly the same thing.

As long as they are changed when the GOP is back in control.

when did I suggest otherwise?

You singled out Cruz and McConnell. If you had included a few DEMs as well then I wouldnā€™t have called you on it.

Kavanaugh was a bad pick.

I singled out Cruz because he is doing it currently.
there is no such thing as bipartisanship in American politics.

Hind Sight is 20-20. I wonder if they would have gone with someone else knowing what they know now.

I donā€™t know, but he was a bad pick from the start.

There used to be. Reagan and Clinton both enjoyed some amount of bipartisanship. I believe things began to go down hill with Bush Junior. Iā€™m wondering if it might have had something to do with the closeness of the 2000 election and DEMs feeling like they were robbed.

Care to share why you feel that way?

Heā€™s weak.

Thatā€™s fine, but CONS are just as political

So a Senator in the Dem minority can boondoggle a Rep Presidentā€™s picks?

Iā€™d prefer we return to comity and good faith.

Of course they are.

Keep politics out of my politics.

There is, of course, only one other option.

I long for a return to those days as well.

And what would that be?

For my benefit what do they know now that they didnā€™t know then?
