Here’s the catch: the rules that Cruz and McConnell are exploiting are not in the constitution, they are Senate rules and can be changed. So there is some hope.

As long as they are changed when the GOP is back in control.

There used to be. Reagan and Clinton both enjoyed some amount of bipartisanship. I believe things began to go down hill with Bush Junior. I’m wondering if it might have had something to do with the closeness of the 2000 election and DEMs feeling like they were robbed.
