Would the US ban their citizens from international travel? How many American hot spots banned international flights from people in the infected areas?
That isn’t China’s problem, other countries should make sure they don’t let infected people in. Would you be ok with America banning it’s citizens from leaving the country??
Why would any country fight a war when they know they are going to kill many of their own citizens?
As Chinese scientist, Dr. Yi Li, pointed out how COVID has been extremely beneficial China by causing great damage to the US and its allies while leaving China virtually unaffected:
I agree with his analysis, but I find it curious that the an atheist would talk about divine intervention. That makes sense if you consider that Communists look at the state as a quasi-deity.
Release of a deadly SARS-like virus in New York City that left China virtually affected would have immediately raised flags about its being a bioweapon attack. Allowing release in Wuhan greatly reduces the risk of retaliation since claims of natural origin or an accidental release are more plausible.
Note that a pandemic means that essentially the entire world is exposed to the disease. The likely damage is independent of where the original infection occurs.
Releasing the virus in Wuhan makes perfect sense strategy for a bioweapons attack since it minimizes risk of retaliation while having little or no effect on the eventual outcome.
No it doesn’t, it makes no sense at all. Infecting their own country first is idiotic when it would have been beyond easy to do otherwise. The SARS nonsense is ridiculous, it would have raised no more flags than it already did.
This has got to be the most moronic conspiracies I’ve heard and there is no way any nation would be this stupid.
He was asked about it by the media and he answered it honestly…while you and that same media were regurgibleating orange man baaa, baaa, baaad…just like now.
you know, if the gist of this thread were that the virus escaping the lab were an accident, but that once out china negligently and purposefully allowed it to escape into the world… I might go with that. I just can’t sign on to the idea that it was purposefully developed and deployed. the purpose of gain of function research is not to develop bio weapons (though it could be a bi-product), the purpose is to learn how better we can deal with and fight any future naturally occurring outbreak. what china did, locking down domestic travel out of wuhan, but allowing international travel was purposeful and negligent. this virus could have been stopped in wuhan, and it should have been,
Man, that’s an awful lot of damage to do to yourself for something that might not even work. They had no idea whether Trump would’ve reacted like he did, or handling it head like an adult thus rallying the American people to his side and winning re-election.
These conspiracies are so dumb they aren’t even fun. Thinking china developed covid as a bioweapon then just infected themselves to attack trump has got to be the most brainless plan possible.
the reason other countries did not ban travel in and out of wuhan earlier is because china and the who lied to us about it. the protocols to limit an outbreak are fairly clear, travel in and out of wuhan should have been cut off in late december or early jan, it took till late jan because of china’s lies and refusal to provide access and accurate information and the who’s duplicity going along with it.
yes, if an outbreak started in dallas that threatenned to become a pandemic, the us would inform the world with accurate information and do everything it could within the law to keep it in dallas.
Yes, releasing a virus that could kill millions in your home country does not make sense. On the other hand, releasing a virus that was specifically engineered to minimize damage to your population while targeting your enemies makes perfect sense.
The reported death rate in China is more than 1000 times lower than that of the US and western Europe. China did not start lockdowns until after several million people left the center of the outbreak in Wuhan. The people travelled to all parts of the country on packed trains and busses for the Chinese holidays.
The fact that China did not have have a massive epidemic only makes sense if the population already had herd immunity. How did they have herd immunity before the virus was even released?
