We are talking about a ban on certain weapons used is the vast majority of mass murders. Yes, when we ban those weapons… it won’t necessarily prevent the determined murderer from getting one but it may deter the casual murderer from getting one.
DUI laws won’t prevent some people from jumping into their cars drunk. Speed limits don’t prevent some people from speeding.
How are you “punished” for not having an AR15?
