One of the finer points of Title 10. I doubt he, as a 3 star, held a reserve commission. But to @WuWei 's point, she isn’t a government official.
I doubt it also just wanted to clarify.
Many people had mentioned that earlier in thread.
e7alr: STODR:Not if you have a reserve commission. That is why I turned down a regular commission. (I am not talking about being in the reserves)

Rules for Commissioned Officers have some quirks that us enlisted folks don’t have under Title 10.
“The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States"
Article II, Section 2, Clause 1:
Where does it say he is my boss?
the amazingness continues. Article 2. I am sorry but this is veering into silly ness. Like really fast.

They seem to be doing that a lot lately.

We were talking about the General. But you know that…you’re just trying to back pedal…
FreeAndClear:His boss. The voters made Biden the generals boss when the general entered into a contract with the federal government. It’s fascinating that that needs to be spelled out.
Do you guys know how anything works?
Where is that in the constitution?
The general is retired.

Already covered…
The general is retired.
The general entered into a contract with the federal government.
When you are representing the Uniform of the military, you cannot have political opinions. This is spelled out in the UCMJ and various military rules and regs.
Military need to be politically neutral, and it’s for obvious reasons.
Piper:The general is retired.

And? The government is forbidden to punish people for speech.
