An election prediction I believe most/all will agree with

yes it is. It is drawing a district to achieve a desired result. equal numbers and contiguous area is one thing, as soon as you throw on the social values, you’re gerrymandering. Gerrymandering does not have to be about party, it can be party, race, ethnicity, voting patterns, religion, age. It can literally be anything giving one demographic an advantage over another. And it need not be putting a large number in a district, just one tilted toward the target majority. There is NO SUCH THING as a non gerrymandered district. They are ALL drawn to achieve a result.

TX attempted to make all districts equal GOP majorities, It would have resulted in 100% GOP representation, and it was gerrymandering. But it was fair. Instead they are forced to create minority districts which cater to extremes and make the GOP districts around them even more GOP, catering to extremes. But you do get minority party representation you would not otherwise have. Also gerrymandering.

This idea that “gerrymandering” is “only the bad things I don’t like” is silly

Whats wrong with someone admitting they made a mistake?

If Trump loses all hell is going to break loose, as he will never accept it and many of his supporters will take whatever radical action he encourages them towards.

no matter who wins the election, all hell is going to break loose

buy ammunition

The reason I made that point is that many will at least have the assurance and/or comfort of there being a check and balance on the other party.

Less spending. Less taxes. Less regulations at the federal level. States having more control of what happens within their state and feds having less control. Giving more control back to the citizens and less control to the federal government.

when have democrats ever acknowledged any check? Unlike the democrats, the GOP will check itself. The extreme elements won’t let anything pass that has a shot in hell of actually becoming law, and we’ll likely see a complete mess jockeying for leadership positions.

I love the poorly educated as well. Do you think you are any smarter than them?

Regarding just one’s political philosophy without all the bombastic personality traits, the fact is that all so-called moderate Dems or Pubs are much much more aligned with the AOC’s & MTG’s than any (so-called) moderate from the other party.

yes, most republicans are conservatives. They are not MAGA fringe but are closer on most issues to MAGA fringe than they are to any democrat. Most democrats are liberals, they are not squad fringe, but they are more closely aligned to the squad fringe than they are to any republican.

The issue is not alignment, its orthodoxy. The fringe demands it. Under most circumstances that’s fine, they are fringe. You can vote around them, just as republicans used to Ron Paul, or democrats Dennis Kucinich. When ONE member has the power and the willingness to bring everything to a halt, not fine.

Ah, two can play atvthis game!
One party capriciously and intentionally opened the border and paroled in under phony asylum claims millions of impoverished people from ALL OVER THE WORLD, including murderers, rapists, gang members, terrorists and other criminals.
One party is doing everything it can to give all those illegal immigrants here the ability to get licenses and to vote.
One party wants to pile on regulation after regulation to make it harder for small businesses to succeed.
One party wants to incessantly grow government and micromanage virtually every aspect of our lives.
One party can’t define what a woman is.

Let’s look at the “libism” capital of the US, California. Please show us how the poor and middleclass are so much better off there than the rest of the country.

Which is why no matter who wins here the partisan divide will only continue to grow.

It will continue regardless. We are in the detail/setting up phase.

The big items were handled.

He’s crass, he’s offensive, he’s flawed, but Trump is as close to this as we’re going to get any time soon.

The message hasn’t changed much

Here’s an example of the impact of Libism:

The local business owner, like other members of the Burlington community, has been grappling with a combination of multiple problems plaguing the city, including upticks in homelessness, drug addiction and crime that have gripped the picturesque city.

Libs loved Gerrymandering when it benefited them. It’s how they controlled the house for 56 years out of 60 between 1935 and 1995. Damn Newt Gingrich for upsetting their apple cart.
