Those are not the only two possibilities.
We know who is vulnerable to serious/critical disease or death. That’s less than 5% of the population.
We could easily sequester and protect them while the rest of the country goes back to work.

So your plan is to impoverish the old healthy people, while the young sick ones are allowed to wander freely and keep their mortgage company remain wealthy.
Well that’s just complete nonsense.
The groups most at risk are retirees and those with permanent disabilities who have a protected income already.
Those who are still working can certainly be taken care of for a tiny fraction of what the shut down is costing us.

Organizations don’t work that way. If the President took Dr. Fauci’s advice then it is the Presdent’s responsibility.
I have been arguing for days that there is plenty of responsibility to go around, in the face of numerous positions that some single bad guy – the Chinese, the Democrats, the media – are the one’s to blame.
I’m not slipping in anything; just noting how the DC response has shifted from addressing the medical issues. a month ago to full-on election mode.

Well, to be fair, there are still elements within the Republican party that try to pass it of as conservative, when it is pretty apparent that they have now completely sold out conservatism, thrown it under the bus, ran over it, and then backed over it a couple of times just to make sure it was gone.
